Four awards for this delicious white, including a Gold medal – a wine made purely from Pecorino. Pecore means sheep (hence the sheep's cheese, also known as Pecorino) and these animals love to guzzle on the young ripe grapes, if you don't keep them out! This is a charming white made at an Abruzzo cellar by Davide Dias, a winemaker trained by Italy's most famous Riccardo Cotarella. Cool fermented with not a drop of oak, the wine has a tropical fruit aroma, with hints of sage. Bright stone fruits, with zippy lemon notes to keep the wine fresh. With so much character, it's irresistible as a glass on its own. It's a top choice, too, with lemony chicken with rice, panfried white fish or noodle stir fry. Chill down and bring on the sunshine.
