Cantemerle may have been the last to be added to the famous 1855 Bordeaux classification, but it's one of the first clarets to consider when it comes to value for money. Located in the southern part of the Médoc region, near the villages of Macau and Ludon, each wine here is made under the experienced guidance of consultant oenologist, Eric Boissenot – who also looks after two-thirds of 1855 classified estates, including all four Médoc First Growths. With Boissenot on hand, you know you're getting the absolute best. And this 2016 is no exception. A classic example of Cantemerle claret, this boasts a powerful, elegant, lively fruit filled flavour. Decant for some time or cellar, then enjoy with traditional local foods, such as roast poultry.
