More information
As its name suggests, the Entre-Deux-Mers lies between two bodies of water (rivers in fact). It’s situated just south of Right Bank stars Saint Emilion and Pomerol and can boast some real gems. Our Bordeaux Buyer unearthed a diamond when he paid a visit to the pretty little village of Naujan, “where the winemaking family Despagne have recently been making waves” (Jancis Robinson MW). They released their first wine from this property in 2001, but their winemaking heritage stretches back 200 years. They don’t let tradition stand in the way of innovation, however, choosing to blend modern techniques with an old fashioned respect for the soil. Though they don’t do things by halves, this crisp white comes in a handy quarter bottle.
