With a history dating back to 1142, Château du Tertre is one of the oldest properties on the Left Bank of Bordeaux and was classified as a fifth growth in the historic 1855 classification. The estate neighbours famous Margaux names such as Cantenac-Brown and Giscours. Situated on one of the highest hills in Margaux (hence it’s name ‘Tertre’, meaning mound), the altitude provides a slightly cooler growing temperature which adds an elegant freshness to the wines. It’s a classic Bordeaux blend, dominated by cassis-rich Cabernet Sauvignon with supporting Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Elegant blackberry and blueberry fruits with cedar notes from ageing in French oak barrel. Decant and savour now or tuck away for a few years.

"A fantastic du Tertre with blackberries and blueberries. One of the best ever from here. So precise" James Suckling
