Armagnac is France's oldest brandy, always from the Gascogne region in southwest France. In the Middle Ages, it was known for its medicinal properties(!) and has been exported around the globe since the 16th century. The finest spirits are from the Bas-Armagnac area, where you'll find the Goudoulin family estate. 'VS' stands for 'Very Special' – a classification also represented sometimes by three stars. These are the youngest spirits of the Armagnac family and are enjoyed for their fresh fruit notes and spicy heat. This is a delicious ‘entry level’ Armagnac from Goudoulin – perfect with cocktails, but just as good when sipped solo. Appealing aromas of pear, plum and grape, with fiery spices and a touch of vanilla from two years oak ageing.

"A great Armagnac to sip solo on a cold evening or to use in spirited cocktails!" Samuel Fishlock
