It is only thanks to our longstanding friendship with Javier and his family that we have exclusive access to this great value red. It's pure Tempranillo from northeast Spain. Smooth and elegant, offering mouthfuls of crushed berries, cherry and vanilla, cedar and toasty spice – this red always is difficult to resist. (It's even aged in barrel for 12 months, unheard of at this low price.) And thanks to its great finish – above and beyond its price – it's guaranteed to impress on any dinner table. With such rich softness it is delicious enjoyed solo or with any meal, but particularly perfect with roast lamb.
