Cordón del Plata (Silver Cord) is named after a popular sub-range of the Andes situated in Mendoza. These stunning snow-capped mountains are considered the most attractive part of the range and this makes them a popular choice for climbers en route to Aconcagua (the giant of the South America peaks). They also form a magnificent backdrop to the Valle de Uco vineyards. Here, vines thrive in the higher altitude conditions. Pure, clear sunshine, great UV exposure, plenty of meltwater and that significant drop in temperature at night. The result is the supple, velvety reds for which this prestigious wine region is famed. Full of ripe raspberry fruit and floral spice aromas, this wine is a top choice for pork belly or vegetarian enchiladas.

"This plush, fruity red is a lovely example of what Argentina does so well. A great all rounder!" Beth Willard
