Cullen Wines Diana Madeline Margaret River Organic Cabernet Blend 2019

Margaret River

Vanya Cullen’s tribute to her late mother Diana, as pivotal in establishing the great Margaret River estate Cullen as Dr Kevin Cullen, Vanya’s father. This annual high-scorer is a brilliant ambassador for biodynamic wine. Will cellar for years.

Winner twice for 'Viticulturalist of the Year' in 2021, their 50th anniversary year, for 'best practice in the vineyard', Cullen is a shining star of Western Australia. It was founded in 1971 by Dr Kevin and Diana Cullen, when Margaret River was little more than a one-horse town. Since then the region’s reputation has soared. To take quality at Cullen Wines yet higher, their daughter, Vanya, now in charge, converted to biodynamic in 2004. Jancis Robinson says of this red: “Such a subtle, noble wine! Classic claret with dusty refinement”. Every year it receives stellar scores, the 2018 awarded a near perfect 99 points. Cabernet dominant and aged in new French oak, this wine shows perfect balance of richness, structure and length. Cellar.

"Revered, cabernet-based blend with such complete, seamless and elegant feel, such depth of flavor" James Suckling
