This action-packed Eighties classic is perfect for our Christmas Vintage Screening with AVERYS WINE MERCHANTS.Following a sparkling wine reception, the film will be accompanied by a tasting of German and American wines that are sure to pack a punch.NYPD detective John McClane arrives in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve, intending to reconnect with his estranged wife and children. They meet at her workplace’s Christmas party at Nakatomi Plaza, but things quickly take a turn for the worse when terrorists hijack the building and take the company’s employees hostage. Very soon, McClaine realises he is the only person able to defeat the terrorists and save the hostages.
This event is strictly for over 18s. Photographic ID may be required prior to entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anybody who is unable to produce appropriate ID. We regret that we are unable to offer refunds to guests refused entry for this reason. Doors for this event will open at 18:45. The film will commence with a short talk at approximately 19:00. The event will conclude at approximately 21:30. Averys wine cellar can be accessed either through the Averys shop (accessed via stairs), or through the side entrance on Frogmore Street. Averys cellar is suitable for disabled access, however we do ask any guests who have accessibility queries or concerns to contact us directly. We remind guests that there are some uneven areas of floor in the cellar. Guests will receive a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, followed by four wines during the film. Water will be available throughout the evening. This film is rated 15 (Contains strong language and moderate sex references) This film will be screened without subtitles.
