Domaine Jean Chartron has been steadily building their reputation for excellent Burgundy since first established in 1859. Averys have been working with them for over 30 years now, bringing the best of their wines to you. Like this 2014 Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune.The fifth-generation family behind this domain have 14 hectares of vineyard space to their name – many of them Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites. All of that experiences goes into crafting this great value BourgogneThis comes from their vineyards on the Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune, an area further up the slopes from the better-known Village appellations that offers a taste of quality Burgundy without the eye-watering priceJust under a year ageing on its lees in oak barrels have really softened this wine out and given each mouthful added richness and texture. Light buttery and brioche notes in the glass, along with lively citrus aromas. Beautifully round on the palate, with vibrant minerality and a lingering finish.
