This historic property, family-owned since 1791, was bought in 1967 by one of the most impressive houses in Burgundy, Maison Albert Bichot (although the domaine is still autonomously run). It holds an international reputation for outstanding Chablis. Robert Parker even said: “Long-Depaquit make some of the best Grand Cru Chablis.” This is their excellent 2020 Grand Cru Bougros. A modest plot of premium land that enjoys superb south-westerly exposure to the afternoon sun. It also has an above-average density of planting, encouraging competition between vines and limiting yields. The result: a small amount of fruit with superb concentration. A slow ferment in oak and 10 months ageing on fine lees gives immense, absorbing complexity.
