Critic Jeb Dunnock called the estate "one of the most exciting domaines in the world of wine today". Run by Stéphane Ogier, it makes outstanding wines from Côte Rôtie to fine IGP. This is an exotic Rhône blend of Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne.

Wine Spectator described Stéphane Ogier’s wines as “dynamic and elite”, while Wine Advocate wrote “the estate is unquestionably in the top handful of domaines in the Rhône Valley”. The family used to grow apricots, then fortuitously changed to grapes. Such was the quality that, until 1982, they sold all their fruit to top estates Guigal and Chapoutier. After two vintages in Stellenbosch, Stéphane took over from his father in the late 1990s, added extensively to the vineyards (he owns 10 hectares in Côte Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint Joseph) and built himself a gleaming, modern cellar. Terroir is his raison d’être. This superb IGP is a classic Rhône blend of Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne, like a St Joseph. Sumptuous, exotic with minerality.
