Critic Jeb Dunnock wrote that Isabel Ferrando, at her estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is making wines that are "some of the most profound on this earth". She also makes a little of this gorgeous Côtes du Rhône, described by Wine Advocate as a bargain.

More information
Since its creation in 1920, Saint Préfert has been a leading domaine in Châteauneuf. The Serre family owned it for 80 years, but in 2002, Isabel Ferrando realised her dream and bought it. Isabel is Provence born. She always loved the different flavours of her home region, but started a career in banking. As a new mother, she decided it was time to follow her dream - to become a winemaker. She studied, then looked for her ideal property. It took two years to find it - Châteauneuf was the only option. Jeb Dunnock wrote, "Isabel Ferrando has taken her Saint Préfert estate to France’s highest level," adding that her wines have "sensational levels of fruit, beautiful purity and overflowing Provençal charm". This is her fabulous Côtes du Rhône.
