Domaine Yann Chave Crozes-Hermitage 2020

Crozes-Hermitage AOC

From a winemaker whose wines are "all loaded with character and highly recommended," (critic, Jeb Dunnock) comes this 92-pt "powerful, structured Crozes" (Decanter). 2020 was an exceptional vintage and this is rich, intense northern Rhône red.

Yann Chave is hot property. His wines are listed by many top Michelin-starred French chefs, Bocuse, Ducasse and Troisgros among them. We’re delighted with his 2020 Crozes, from a vintage that "is looking very exciting, especially in the north" (Jancis Robinson) and that was described by Jeb Dunnock as producing “beautiful, balanced, charming wines that have so much to love." Yann Chave adheres to organic principles through all his vineyards, taking the Syrah grapes for this exceptional red from three plots in Crozes Hermitage - La Roche de Glun, Mercurol and Pont de l'Isère. Together these express the vintage, the terroir and the maker. Wild yeast fermentation with ageing in vat, this is a very pure red, ideal with lamb or a rich casserole.

"Full-bodied, plenty of substance and power. A very bold, structured style of Crozes-Hermitage" Matt Walls
