Lyne Marchive’s 27-hectare domaine is one of the best run we’ve found in Chablis, making some of the most consistently outstanding wines. When she was starting out, Lyne wanted to take a place at wine school in Beaune, but discovering she would be the only girl, she decided to simply learn 'on the job'. She’s assisted by Guénolé Breteaudeau, who grew up in the Loire Valley, itself a hotbed of the purest, linear-fresh French whites. Together they produce absolutely classic Chablis, full of the seashell and mineral character that devotees search for, alongside green apple and intense lemon elegance. All fermented in stainless steel, to be sure that fruit and terroir shine through. From a cooler, classic vintage , this is a fine white.
