Sunshine was undoubtably the hallmark of the 2018 vintage in Burgundy, remarkable levels of it from April right through to September. It resulted in a truly glorious "heatwave vintage" (Wine Enthusiast), whispered to be 'one of the greatest ever'. Domaine de Malande, owned by Lyne Marchive, who inherited it from her father André Tremblay, has made the most of it. It showcases wonderful power, richness and intensity, all whilst still retaining that all important vibrancy and minerality classic to Chablis. Part fermentation in old oak vats, like her Grand Cru, enhances the ripe, creamy texture, without lending any obvious oak. Tightly packed and very fine, it's no wonder the wine has received such praise from critics. Open early or cellar.

"It is intense and mineral, with delicious potential and good acidity at the end" Roger Voss, 93 Points
