Vintage 2020 has been heaped with praise – "The 2020 white Burgundies clearly number among the very best produced in the last two decades” (RobertParker.com); "beautifully fresh and vibrant wines" said Burghound. Domaine des Malandes is owned by Lyne Marchive, who inherited it from her father André Tremblay. She has certainly made the most of this great vintage. It showcases wonderful power, richness and intensity, whilst still retaining that all-important minerality classic to Chablis. Part fermentation in old oak vats, like her Grand Cru, enhances the ripe, creamy texture, without lending any obvious oak. Tightly packed and very fine, it's no wonder the wine has received such praise. Open early and serve with oysters. Or cellar.
