Dönnhoff is one of the finest and most exciting family estates of Germany's Nahe. Dating back to 1750, it was headed up until recently by the founder's grandson Helmut Dönnhoff. The family are proud to own some of the finest vineyards in all Nahe. Helmut has now handed over winemaking to his son, Cornelius, who has "bottled probably the best wine series in the history of the domaine" said Wine Advocate's Stephen Reinhardt. Critic James Suckling described the 2020 as having a "cornucopia of white peach and yellow apple, but also floral notes. Super fresh and juicy." The all-organic grapes are grown on south-southeast-facing volcanic soil slopes in Oberhausen, Felsenberg and Kieselberg. Picked late, they have superb ripeness and intensity.
