This wine was highly-scored by critic Jancis Robinson, who noted: “If you think minerality can’t be smelt, the Tonschiefer may be able to convince you otherwise.” Nahe Riesling combines the raciness of a Mosel with the fuller body of a Rheingau Thanks to the efforts of producers like Helmut Dönnhoff, Nahe is now considered one of Germany’s great wine regions . Intensely aromatic with crisp citrus fruit and honey, plus very distinct mineral notes. The palate is rich and generous, with plenty of ripe tropical fruit and underlying spice. The finish is fresh, pure and exceptionally long.
