Brothers Arturo and Javier Amurrio Barroeta are fourth generation winemakers, born into wine. They studied oenology, then went abroad to gain experience. On their return to Spain just a few years back, they joined with two other wine friends, Luis López González and Ignacio Uruñuela de la Rica, to create Finca de la Rica. Today they focus on superb quality Single Vineyard wines that are very much on trend today. So, just like a Burgundy, the wine focuses on the quality of the 'terroir'. And the wines are just as exciting and nuanced. El Rincón sources grapes from a 2-hectare, 35 year old vineyard, planted at 600m on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria. Hence its elegance and freshness, as well as deep silky fruit. Open early and decant.
