This new red is named after the Elephant Tree you see on the label. Adored by these great beasts for munching on, it's also cherished for its amazing ability to soak up carbon. Not even fast-growing bamboo can match it! The wine was made by the talented Leon Esterhuizen at the Fairtrade, carbon neutral Journey's End winery. It was awarded 'Drinks Business Ethical Company of the Year' 2020 and 2021 and also the 'Water Management Award 2021'. They are proud of their community projects too, serving over 30,000 meals per week to those most in need and driving initiatives in schools. Leon is an ace winemaker, who "clearly does a fine job” (Jancis Robinson MW). Brimful of soft black fruit, this is an easy red. Great solo or with bangers and mash.

"With quality remarkably high and consistent, winemaker Leon Esterhuizen clearly does a fine job" Jancis Robinson MW
