Château Tour Haut Labrit is made at a small property run by the Fontaneau family in the great value Entre Deux Mers region. Their vineyards are superbly located in Moulon, on the slopes leading down to the Dordogne river and directly opposite the prized Saint-Émilion appellation. For this versatile red, the team have added a touch of Cabernet Franc to Merlot, resulting in a ripe and juicy wine with a lovely floral freshness. It's from a fantastic vintage too. In the words of Jancis Robinson: "The wines I have tasted so far from 2019 seem good to excellent and comparable in quality to 2018, 2016 and 2015 all excellent vintages". Remarkably easy drinking, soft and supple despite its youth, this will pair well with steak frites or cheeses.
