You can't get much higher praise than this, from Nick Stock on JamesSuckling.com, "If Central Otago was the Côte de Nuits, then Bannockburn would likely be Vosne-Romanée and I’m going to hang it right out and say that Felton Road would be the top gun, the DRC," while Jancis Robinson MW hits the superlatives too: "Around the world Felton Road is one of the most admired producers in Central Otago, responsible for really serious examples of ageworthy Pinot Noir." Using grapes from all three of their Bannockburn biodynamic vineyards, this is a beautiful expressive red. Wild yeasts, wild malo, minimal interference, with ageing in part new French oak add up to a superbly balanced red with layers of fruit and toasty nuanced complexity.
