Founded in 1946, Domaine Ferraton has always been a well-regarded estate. Yet since the Chapoutiers have come on board the quality has soared. The Ferraton family started working with Michel Chapoutier in 1998, the latter buying the estate outright in 2004, but running it as an independent concern, with the family still very much at the helm. The result is some really impressive wines that "continue to represent screaming values" (Jeb Dunnock). Add in the quality of the 2020 vintage and grapes produced to the highest biodynamic standards, and you’ll understand the sumptuous brilliance you can look forward to. Pure oak-aged Syrah, aged in part-new oak barrels, it's silky, dense and long. Still young, the wine is best decanted beforehand.

"Estate releases are made in tiny quantities, all extremely high quality, represent screaming values" Jeb Dunnock
