Since 1993, Jacques and Christophe Lanson have run the small family domaine. They are fully signed up to the sustainable practices of Terra Vitis and HVE and by respecting nature, they believe they get the very most from their vineyards. For this superb Fleurie, the grapes are sourced from vines at least 40 years old, planted on Poncié's south facing granitic slopes or Les Combes' poor, sandy soils. These ensure small yields (around 38 hl/ha) and lovely concentration in the wine. The brothers do a mixture of whole cluster and destalked berries fermentation to ensure intense fruitiness, as well the depth and structure that enable their fine wines to age. Still fresh, there's no need to rush this wine. A great choice with sea bass or chicken.
