Château Guiraud is a grand Sauternes estate of impeccable quality, ideally situated next door to Château Yquem. While its luscious sweet wine is divine, the team there are also master at this outstanding dry white. They apply the same dedicated winemaking standards to both. Using purely organic, very low-yield, estate-grown Sémillon and Sauvignon grapes, the wine is fermented and regularly lees stirred in barrel for added richness and creamy texture. It ages there for at least six months, which all adds up to layer upon layer of complex, rich flavour. Serve this white cellar cool like a great white Burgundy to enjoy all its richness. "Creamy and attractive", declared Suckling. It'll make a fine partner to sauced white meat or fish dishes.
