At the turn of the century, twin brothers Carl and Anton Veltins were the second generation to manage the then, still small Grevensteiner Brewery. With careful management and a lot of love for brewing, they created Grevensteiner beer in the 1890s – it was known and loved far beyond their local region. Now, in tribute to the brother's traditional approach, Brauerei C & A Veltins have crafted 'Grevensteiner Original'. Naturally cloudy, Grevensteiner Original is a light Landbier (country beer). Employing traditional brewing processes, historical malt varieties and soft spring water, this is a rich, creamy, full flavoured beer. Caramel aromas dominate with a fresh apple note, while the taste is mild with hints of nuts and toasted bitterness.
