Crémant wines have been making waves among sparkling wine fans for a few years now. As Decanter says, they "offer value-for-money" and can be a "convincing alternative to Champagne". Made by the same traditional method as Champagne, but from other French regions, the wines offer quality and value rolled into one! This Crémant d’Alsace is from Domaine Joseph Cattin, a family-run estate situated in Voegtlinhoffen near Colmar, in Alsace. It’s an historic estate with almost 300 years of winemaking tradition, alongside modern equipment for the best results. Made with the local grape, Pinot Auxerrois, this fizz has benefited from 9 months lees ageing, which has added toasty brioche notes. Perfect as an aperitif, or paired with a fruit tart.
