Most famous name in all Bordeaux is Château Lâfite and they only put their name on a label when they are sure a wine hits the mark. We aren't saying this wine is as fine as any vintage of Château Lafite itself. But it is made by the same team and to the same exacting standards, so you can be sure of quality. It's a classic Bordeaux AOC, ready for drinking after just four years, which is just what you want from a more everyday, or at least weekend wine! It's from the 5-star 2016 vintage, reminiscent of the legendary 1990 in terms of both quantity and quality. Blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, 40% of it was aged in oak barrels. A well structured, rounded claret to enjoy alongside roasted meats, lamb kebabs or butterbean casserole.
