Les Grands Cailloux is from Domaine Fayet, a small, family estate near Narbonne in the Languedoc.It’s made from 100% Viognier, a grape made famous in the tiny, top-quality enclave of Condrieu in the Northern RhôneAlthough winemakers all over the world have tried to emulate this style, few have come close and great value examples like this one are extremely rare The 2017 vintage is bursting with classic Viognier characters of white peaches and apricots with hints of honey and white flowers. A rich and complex Viognier with notes of white flowers and honey on the nose while the palate shows white peach and apricot flavours. Ripe and refreshing with well-balanced acidity, it’s a perfect partner to grilled white meats or soft French cheeses.
