Beyond the Label
Citrusy fresh with light tropical notes and a long mineral finish
Intense citrus aromas with a touch of tropical fruits
We reserve our 'Limited Release' label for exceptional one-off parcels of wine that need rescuing. Both quality and price need to be 'knock out' impressive and this dazzling Chilean Sauvignon fits the criteria perfectly. All the grapes are from the cool Bío Bío region (although the label isn't allowed to say that). Over 400 kilometres south of Santiago, it's one of Chile's most southerly wine regions. It lies close to the eponymous Bío Bío river and receives both plentiful rainfall and early morning fog. Hence there's a real green, grassy edge and citrus freshness to this delicious white. Not quite Sancerre, but heading that way, it's from the highly awarded Matetic winery! Enjoy its citrus and mineral zip with seafood or a spicy noodles.
"Mineral notes mingle with ripe tropical fruits and crisp citrus. A very elegant Sauvignon"
