We’ve selected four of our favourite ‘petit château’ Bordeaux in this mixed dozen for only £7.99 per bottle. A far cry from the expensive classed growths, these affordable clarets allow delicious Bordeaux to be enjoyed on any day of the week – not just a special occasion.
3 x Château Grand Vignereau 2016 – This estate is in the village of Vignonent, a stone’s throw from Saint-Émilion. Expect lush plummy fruits and a velvety texture.
3 x Château Picheron 2016 – Always one of our most popular clarets, the 2016 Château Picheron is on fine form with ripe red berry fruits and a smooth, long finish.
3 x Château Courreges 2014 – A gold medal winner with black cherry fruit, hints of wild herbs and a generous splash of oak, this is drinking superbly now.
3 x Château Pey de Faure 2014 – A Merlot-rich claret with beautiful aromatics of Morello cherry, blackcurrants and spice, this is delicious with cheeses and charcuterie.
