Mach 2t is a rich, dark, Aussie red, weighty and well structured. And behind its name lies a bit of a story. Apparently the record time to clean out a 2T fermenter (about 4 minutes) was held by a smart fellow, who had figured out the varieties and time on skins that made cleaning the easiest. He would seek those ones out and gained a reputation as a poacher amongst the vintage crew as a result. He is ‘honoured’ with his own label here. This is a serious red, the dark, weighty fruit underscored by an edge of cool climate freshness which lends structure. Enjoy now with a rare steak or hearty ale pie, ideally opening early and decanting. Alternatively tuck some bottles away for a year or so to mellow and gain complexity. Class-act red.
