This Gran Reserva is from a family winery steeped in tradition - a wine that every Rioja fan needs to try. The Manzanos family started making Rioja in the 1800s and Marqués de Butrago takes its name from their flagship vineyards. Today, brothers Victor and David Manzanos are the fifth generation to run the estate and together with winemaker Borja Ripa, make fresh, smooth Riojas from these ancient vines – some up to 60 years old. We’ve been singing the praises of Navarran wines for years, but they still remain unknown to many wine lovers which is why they offer such superb value. Aged in oak, this is a rich blend of Cabernet, Garnacha and Tempranillo. With soft velvety tannins and a long finish, it’s both food friendly and easy drinking.
