The Angus is a glorious ripe Aussie blend of the classic Bordeaux trio Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It comes from the McPherson family, also behind The Full Fifteen, and provides a truly satisfying mouthful of dark fruit and spicy flavour.

There’s no doubt Big Mac McPherson makes a mean, BIG red - indeed, he's been making some of our popular weighty Australians for years. In 2011, Andrew appointed Jo Nash as chief winemaker and quality went up another step. Mother of four and married to another winemaker, she's a very busy lady, but fits it all in with a big smile and has many top awards to her name. Believing the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, Jo has blended this gobstopper red from Bordeaux's Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It has lovely, dark fruity appeal, with plenty of spice from the Petit Verdot, while juicy plummy Merlot fills it out. A touch of firmness makes it great with food. Decant The Angus and serve with slow-cooked lamb or rare roast beef.
