From Bordeaux I’ve selected our two star buys this month –Château des Grands Jays
Bordeaux Supérieur from the terrific 2016 vintage and citrussy Château Camarsan Blanc –
both of which prove what extraordinary value there is to be found in the world’s most famous
wine region. From the Southern Rhône, you have Domaines André Aubert Le Devoy, a gold
medal winning red from the little-known enclave of Grignan-les-Adhémar. And as a big fan
of Muscadet (one of France’s most under-rated and under-valued whites), I couldn’t resist the
2018 Domaine de la Chauvinière.
Heading away from France, I’ve chosen Gallicus Refosco, a charming red from Friuli in northeast
Italy and the mouth-watering new vintage release of Marlborough’s Invivo Selected by Averys Sauvignon Blanc.
