Petit Soleil String Quartet - THIS IS THE RESCHEDULED EVENT FROM 1ST FEB
Petit soleil strings is a Bristol/Bath based quartet with very diverse musical influences and band members from France, Spain and the UK.They perform acoustic pieces that range from rumbas to gypsy jazz tunes and choros. Claire and Sonia (violin and cello) both have a classical music background as well as great experience in playing tunes from more traditional repertoires. Tom and Seb ( double bass and guitar) have been playing together in bands in the South West (Bartoune, Zen Hussies) for the last 10 years and bring a definite jazz touch the project. All these influences resonate in the unique sound created by this new born quartet.
With a stellar line-up of some of Bristol's finest musicians, expect a program packed with both swinging upbeat songs and smooth soulful standards from songbooks old and new. https://youtu.be/YasQmAyFF5A
