Classic, fine quality Pinot Gris from a family estate in France's beautiful Alsace. With lots of sunshine, cool mountain air and steeply sloping vineyards, quality is high. This luscious Pinot Gris has pure stone fruit, mineral zip and long spice.

Tucked away in the north eastern corner of France, Alsace is a region that often gets forgotten by wine lovers yet it produces some of France’s finest white wines. One of our favourite estates is Domaine Gerard Metz in the charming village of Itterswiller on the eastern slope of the Vosges Mountains. Winemaker Eric Casimir uses traditional techniques and sustainable agriculture in order to create great wines with a true Alsace character. Alsace Pinot Gris may be the same as Italy's Pinot Grigio but it's very different in style. The Alsatian is richer with more character and weight. Melody is a pure, intense Pinot Gris with a lovely creamy texture thanks to lees ageing. A superb white with creamy sauced pork or chicken, or creamy gougères.
