In 1798, Don Juan de Dios Correas – a man of big ideas and grand passions – planted his first vineyard at the foot of the Andes mountains. Nearly 180 years later, in 1974, Don Edmondo Navarro Correas picked up where his ancestor had left off and started making wines under his own name. His were some of the first premium wines of Argentina. This is a very special red – the Cabernet grapes were the very finest rows from 60 estate vineyards. Each parcel brings a different note to the wine to make it exceptionally well balanced and complex. Winemaker Alejandra Riofrío has at least 16 vintages under her belt. Aged for a year in both French and US oak, the wine has intense bright fruit layered with spice and tobacco. Get the steak on the griddle!
