From a 220-year-old family winery in Mendoza, comes this premium, barrel-aged red. It shows how Argentina's not only a master of Malbec, but of Cabernet too. Using the best grapes from each of their vineyards, it's a dark, spiced, velvety-rich red.

In 1798, Don Juan de Dios Correas – a man of big ideas and grand passions – planted his first vineyard at the foot of the Andes mountains. Nearly 180 years later, in 1974, Don Edmondo Navarro Correas picked up where his ancestor had left off and started making wines under his own name. His were some of the first premium wines of Argentina. This is a very special red – the finest Cabernet grapes of the vintage, selected from the estate's 60 individual vineyards. Each parcel brings a different note to the wine to make it exceptionally well balanced and complex, with layers of gorgeous fruit. Aged for a year in French and US oak, the wine has intense blackberry and cassis mingling with hints of spice and tobacco. Get the steak on the griddle!

"Proof that Argentina is an excellent source for premium Cabernet too – intense, silky and complex" Jehan Sacaze
