More information
Weingut Netzl is a small, sixth generation, family estate with 26 hectares of very well positioned vineyards. They lie in the east of Austria, in Carnuntum, south east of Vienna, with the cooling affect of the river Danube and Lake Neusiedl nearby. This helps to bring out the bright aromas and acidity of the grapes. The family grow many varieties in different terroirs – including Austrian classics like Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner – but also international stars from Bordeaux, even Syrah. Grüner Veltliner is very much a top grape right now, adored for its freshness, yet also for its spice and weight. Very food-friendly, it's a great white to serve with a light chicken and dumpling stew, creamy pasta or fish. It's also a star served solo.
