Château Fleur La Mothe is run by three of Bordeaux’s leading lights. In 2008, winemakers Antoine Médeville, Edouard Massie and Henri Boyer joined forces and bought a small plot of old vines in Saint-Yzans de Médoc, just north of Saint-Estèphe. Now using their expertise to produce one of the best wines in the entire Médoc appellation. Château La Croix Saint Pierre has been run by the Carreau family since 1832. Made mainly from Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, it opens with lovely aromas of soft, juicy, black fruit and a touch of spice. The vibrant palate is reminiscent of just-ripe red cherries and bright summer berry fruit with a long, smooth finish.
