Roroa is textbook Sauvigon Blanc from New Zealand from a vintage that nearly didn't happen. Harvest had just got started as the pandemic hit. Nervous winery staff huddled round screens, waiting for announcements as initially wine wasn't classified as essential work. Much lobbying from the industry body later, over a few hours, and the decision was reversed. Picking could recommence with extra safety measures in place and the same in the cellar, with even more precautions. We are delighted as quality is truly outstanding. Swirl it in your glass and breathe in abundant guava, passion fruit and intense lime aromas. It's ripely fruity, yet super citrusy and crisp too. Totally delicious - on its own or with spicy Thai, seafood or exotic salads.
