More information
From the start, Petaluma focused on Riesling from the Clare Valley, Cabernet from Coonawarra and Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills. The latter has the highest vineyards of South Australia, up to 714 metres altitude. Couple that with ocean breezes and you have a climate that only just ripens the grapes, draws out the growing season and produces terrific depth of flavour, abundant aroma and dazzling freshness. You will find all that in this fine Adelaide Hills Chardonnay. It's been gently fermented and aged in oak barrels, so that the vanilla and spice are beautifully integrated with the wine's bright apple, melon and peach fruit. Lees ageing adds creaminess. Don't overchill and serve with your finest chicken or richer seafood dishes.
