Valpolicella is one of Italy’s best known reds, loved for its vibrant red fruit. Crafted by Daniele Accordini at ‘Venetian Winery of the Year 2010’ Cantina Valpolicella Negrar, this is a Ripasso, meaning it has an intense weight and dense cherry flavour.
Winemaker Daniele Accordini has extremely meticulous standards and works alongside smaller local growers to produce this cherry scented red
Produced from grapes grown on hillside vineyards of the Valpollicella classico region, this well-structured red would be a great match for game dishes or mature cheeses.
The term Ripasso indicated that the wine was traditionally vinified with the addition of dried Amarone grapes, adding complexity and a rich depth
Tasting note:This delicious red is a deep ruby colour, with rich cherry and summer berry flavours with chocolatey notes. The palate has a firm structure and rounded tannins. We recommend decanting an hour before serving to show at its best.
