Château Constant Lesquireau 2014

Haut-Medoc AOC

From a superbly located estate (sharing the same space as many prestigious classified growths) and from a very good vintage, this silky Haut-Médoc, now with over six years age. It is drinking very well, with mature fruit and oaky complexity.

Château Constant Lesquireau is located in the commune of Vertheuil in the Haut-Médoc. That's between Pauillac and Lesparre-Médoc, on the same terroir as many prestigious classified growths. Since 2012, the estate has been run by Eddy Larme. Eddy prides himself on producing expressive, high quality Haut-Médoc wines, with distinguished Cabernet richness. He has extensive vineyards, now 40 years old, which promotes excellent richness in the mainly Cabernet grapes. You'll find all that in this dinner party claret. It’s from a very good vintage. The result is a red with complexity and depth that has aged well. Best to stand upright for a few hours, to let any sediment drop to the bottom. Then decant carefully. A top choice with roast beef.

"Haut-Médoc from a very good year, showing very pleasing maturity and lovely depth" Jennie Perry
