Keen to challenge tradition, our winemaker Jean-Marc has made this Bordeaux in a juicy, fruit-filled style. It's all Merlot from pure limestone soils, just like the finest Saint-Emilion. Using special low-impact methods, it's full of ripe plum charm.

All curves, no edges, this is a supple, full-of-fruit red. You might not even realise it's Bordeaux! It's part of our Gentle Riot range - wines that challenge the rules and insist on a gentle hand on the planet. That's both in the vineyard and the cellar. ROC Cuvée is a luscious, velvety Merlot. It's Bordeaux in a very modern style, with the emphasis firmly on fruit and no hard edges (tannins). Winemaker and revolutionary behind it is Jean-Marc Sauboua, who discovered an amazing vineyard just across from Saint-Emilion, on the same prized limestone ridge. Its conscientious owners are one of Bordeaux's top families. Jean-Marc has gently vinified the wine to capture all the bright fruit. Plump, silky, versatile. Delicious solo, great at a bbq!
