Shiraz is the most widely planted grape in the McLaren Vale. Indeed, along with the Barossa, it produces some of Australia’s finest Shiraz. All deliciously ripe black fruits perfectly balanced by a seam of freshness, thanks to cooling coastal winds. We reserve our Deep River label for fabulous one-off parcels our buyer out there, Dan Parrott, gets to hear about and snaps up when the offer is good. This is a knockout red blended from a trio of exceptional McLaren Vale vineyards. Traditionally fermented, this Shiraz is dense with gorgeous layers of ripe blackberry, dark cherry and juicy plum fruit, layered with the vanilla spice from gentle oak-ageing. The ideal red to pull out for a Sunday roast, a hearty lasagne or barbecues in summer.
