Introducing a forwardly fruity, ripe Merlot, just asking to be poured. A red brimful with juicy plum, hints of coffee, milk chocolate notes and silky tannins. It's from the near perfect soils of the sunny Robertson Valley. A truly moreish red.

This bright and fruity red pays homage to the beautiful creature that inspired it. Fire was born a carriage horse. Watching this high spirited, tenacious animal that radiated life was heart-warming. Such was her wild nature that she could never be put under harness. Nowadays, an old photo of Fire and her foal sits on the mantlepiece in the winery’s tasting room. Visitors can picture her unbridled joy with this opulent, ruby-red Merlot. Grown in the valley of wine and roses, the luscious plains of Robertson offer some of South Africa’s best winegrowing areas. A hot sunny climate, cooled by ocean breezes, result in healthy ripe grapes and fruit filled wines. Full of ripe plum, cassis and a hint of chocolate, it's a top choice at a barbecue.
