Since 1993, Jacques and Christophe Lanson have run the small family domaine. They are fully signed up to the sustainable practices of Terra Vitis and HVE and by respecting nature, they believe they get the very most from their vineyards. For this superb Fleurie, the grapes are sourced from vines at least 40 years old, planted on two lieu-dits – Poncié's south-facing granitic slopes or Les Combes poor, sandy soils. These ensure small yields and lovely concentration in the wine. The brothers do a mixture of whole cluster and destalked berries in the fermentation to ensure intense fruitiness, as well the depth and structure that enable their fine wines to age. Still fresh, the wine will continue to age – enjoy with sea bass or roast chicken.
